4. Memphis Depay
Frank Augstein/AP/Press Association ImagesAnother man who scored two goals in the group stages is Memphis Depay. The PSV Eindhoven winger has become something of a super-sub for the Netherlands, with both his efforts coming after he had been introduced to matches from the bench. At just 20 years of age, his winner against Australia in the Netherlands second game made him the youngest ever Dutchman to score at the World Cup and provided fans with a glimpse of what his capable of. Depay was regular for PSV last season, cementing his place in the first team and establishing himself as one of the brightest talents in Dutch football. The winger scored 12 goals in 32 league games as his side finished fourth in the Eredivisie, securing them Europa League football for next season. Blessed with blistering pace and nibble footwork, Depay has the style of game which would suit the Premier League. Comparisons to a young Arjen Robben are justified and his impact as a substitute has been a valuable weapon for Louis van Gaals team. The likes of
Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are all thought to be interested, with Depay admitting he is aware of potential suitors. However, the youngster has also confessed that
he will wait until the tournaments completion before deciding where he will be plying his trade next season.
