Luke Shaw was one of English footballs most promising talents, until he met José Mourinho. If nurtured and developed correctly he has the potential to become a world beater. Unsurprisingly, Shaw missed out on the English national team for the World Cup, as his career has fallen further than Wile E. Coyote off a cliff edge since his big money move to Manchester United.

Spurs is the perfect place for Shaw to reignite his career and push to be one of the best defenders in the league if he can find the form he was in back at Southampton. With the guidance of the solid Ben Davis, and strict development plans under Pochettino, Shaw could be moulded into just about whatever Poch needs him to be. Similar to how Dele Alli has emerged as one of the brightest stars of this decade, Luke Shaw has the same potential if developed correctly.

There is no denying that Shaw would fit into Spurs' high line attacking scheme. Due to his lack of playing time and seemingly unjustified public fall outs with the United manager, there is no reason why Shaw wouldn't want the switch. Back in August 2017, Danny Rose somewhat assassinated his own Tottenham future by having a tantrum about wages. Rose has been a key target for Manchester United and Mourinho for a number of years and could be the foot in the door Spurs need. It appears to be just a matter of time until one of the world’s best young talents is exchanged for a player who clearly doesn’t want to stay around.
