6 Shocking Brawls That Surrounded Huge MMA Fights

6. King Mo & Rampage - The Bellator Incident

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQDIDv64Kco Brawls and confrontations are not confined solely to the realm of the UFC. They take place in nearly all fight promotions, and while the promotions themselves are loathe to admit it, and often fine fighters for taking part, often times it's the bottom line that is most impacted, when sales skyrocket. In March 2014, after Rampage Jackson had dispatched Christian M'Pumpu to get himself into the Bellator light heavyweight tournament finals, Bellator execs had the bright idea of bringing King Mo, Rampage's opponent moving forward, into the Bellator cage. Jackson and Mo had already had past disputes, but this was the first time the two were signed to the same promotion. The set up in the cage led to pushing, shoving, and an ugly mess, one Bellator execs claimed was no, really not, staged. Whether you believe that or not, believe the two men legitimately don't like each other. At the weigh-ins for Bellator's inaugural PPV, Bellator 120, where the two men would headline, things went further, with Jackson shoving Mo. While it may seem odd to get worked up over two men getting physical when they are scheduled to fight one another, there's a time and a place, and this wasn't it. Fighters need to be professional, and Rampage was docked a reported $10,000 for the incident by the local athletic commission.
