60 Best Tottenham Hotspur Players In Premier League History

Another thrilling Premier League season drew to a close last month and a lot of the focus has switched from any given club's current players to the players that they might potentially bring in over the summer in the transfer window. I have personally also seen it as the ideal opportunity to look back on the past season - and indeed seasons prior to that. Tottenham Hotspur finished 5th in the 2012-2013 campaign - a comparatively good season given their Premier League history, but one that actually disappointed given their current expectations. The season did, however, unveil some new stars for Tottenham in the form of the likes of Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele and Hugo Lloris, whilst certain already-established Spurs players enhanced their reputations even more so (step forward Mr. Gareth Bale). Seeing such players giving great performances in a Tottenham shirt got me thinking about the players that Tottenham have had in the past - or more specifically the players that they've had during the Premier League era (from 1992 onwards). Let's be honest, they've had some absolute stinkers! Grzegorz Rasiak, Andy Booth, Kayuyuki Toda and Alton Thelwell to name but a few. But they've also had some real stars. With that in mind, I have compiled a list. Here are the 60 best Tottenham Hotspur players of the Premier League era (note that it isn't in order of best to worst player, period. It's based on performances for Spurs specifically, time at the club, time taken to make an impact, overall contribution to Spurs, honours and achievements won at Spurs, general commitment to the Spurs cause, as well as footballing ability etc. Any new signings who are yet to appear for the club will not be considered for inclusion)...
