7 Horrifying Stats From Newcastle United's Club Record Losing Run

4. 5 - Points Magpies Are Clear Of The Relegation Zone, Compared To 13 At Start Of The Run

After Newcastle beat Aston Villa 1-0 at St James' Park in January, John Carver's men found themselves 11th in the Premier League table with 35 points - 13 clear of then-18th-placed Burnley. Fast forward seven matches and they remain stuck firmly on 35 points - but now they have dropped three places to 14th in the table and find themselves just five clear of 18th-placed Sunderland, who also have a game in hand. Leicester City and Hull City also have an extra match to play - so Newcastle cannot let the alarming slide continue at the current rate.
