It was hard to draw this list up, because most players worth the record would be out of this club's league, but the CSKA Moscow striker finds the balance. With a transfermarkt value of £20 million, he seems steep, but his pace and clinical finishing make him an ideal target. Linked with Newcastle in the past, Doumbia has been the top scorer in Russia on a number of occasions, currently leading this year's chart with 18 as the season runs through the summer. Amazingly, he wasn't selected for his country's World Cup campaign, as they went out at the Group Stages. It isn't just in Russia where he has made his mark, scoring 54 goals in 82 games, it is also in Switzerland with Young Boys of Bern where he scored 50 goals in 64 games. Needless to say, if Newcastle could ever get the funds together, then Doumbia would be a good statement of intent.
