7 UFC Fighters Who Are Bound For The Hall Of Fame

6. The Cast Of The Ultimate Fighter 1 (Combined MMA Record: 212-200)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmqMEOXWZ6o Most of the cast of the first ever season of the Ultimate Fighter may not have achieved much success after the show ended, but their impact on the world of Mixed Martial Arts is one that changed the perception of the sport forever. 16 fighters from two weight classes were put into a house together for over two months, fighting it out for a six-figure UFC contract. We were given the insight into the daily lives of an MMA fighter: how they train, how they eat, and how they fight when a contract is on the line. There was Drama, Excitement, and Octagon action every episode, and the fans loved it. After the first full season, the Finale had arrived as it was time to crown the first Ultimate Fighter at both Welterweight and Light Heavyweight. What would happen would change the sport forever. Light Heavyweights Forrest Griffin and Stephen Bonnar put on an absolute war for three whole rounds, a fight that would go down in history as one of the most important bouts in UFC History, one that propelled the UFC into the mainstream as it is today. For their efforts, Griffin and Bonnar would both receive six figure contracts in the UFC, (I'm not telling you who won, because you need to watch this fight.) and a Hall of Fame induction in 2013. If not for the success of the Ultimate Fighter, the UFC may not be where it is today, so each member who was in that house deserves a nod in the Hall of Fame.
