Serbian forward Aleksandar Mitrovic has had his struggles on Tyneside. His disciplinary issues were well known when he joined the club in 2015, and he has often struggled to keep his cool on the pitch. Form wise, Mitrovic has drifted in and out of NUFC's XI over the past two seasons, and while an effective target man on his day, he is yet to replicate the goalscoring form that brought him to England in the first place.

When Mitro joined Newcastle, he claimed that he'd been following the club since he was eight years old. He became enraptured by the Magpies' supporters passion during their dismal Champions League loss to Partizan Belgrade in 2003, with Tyneside deity Alan Shearer becoming his idol, and the man he'd later seek to replicate at Newcastle.

The forward's passion can't be denied. Few NUFC players have ever performed with his level of exuberance, and his chest-beating, rabble-rousing antics have seen Mitrovic build a strong cult following at Newcastle. Unfortunately for Mitro, it looks like he could be on his way out of the club after spending most of 2016/17 on the sidelines.
