8 Newcastle Players Who Should Be Embarrassed To Wear The Shirt

8. Cheick Tioté

There is a possibility that Chieck Tioté could be back in the Newcastle United squad for the trip to Leicester City - although the reality is that, as always appears to be the case with the Ivorian midfielder, his knee injury will continue to be prolonged and there will be no actual return date penned in for him. With just 11 Premier League appearances this season, Tioté has rarely featured as it is - and when the co-vice-captain has played, he has looked disinterested and ready for pastures new. Regularly injured or suspended, Tioté has managed just 118 Premier League appearances in all since arriving on Tyneside in the summer of 2010 - and, 29 in June, it looks certain that he will secure the lucrative move to Russian club he seems to have been pining for in recent years. Although brilliant at his best, Magpies fans have seen all-too-little of that in the last couple of seasons.
