8 Reasons Why England Will Win Euro 2020
2. There Are Many Young Talents To Be Promoted
England are wealthy with talent in the youth system and have had success with the under 19’s winning the UEFA European Championship. There may be the loss of some of the older players who have seen their opportunity slip by, but lurking beneath the depths are some real raw talents waiting to be tapped.
The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Marcus Edwards and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are waiting to pounce. However it does appear that to be in line for the next squad you will need a double-barrelled name – Sorry Edwards.
Southgate’s attention to detail and work with the youth teams in the England setup allows him to relate to younger players in a way no other coach seemed to have.
The most exciting and explosive player that will eventually come into the squad will be Ryan Sessegnon. It’s hard to predict exactly where Sessegnon will fit in tactically, either taking up the left fullback role, or taking a more ‘Gareth Bale’ approach, and end up alongside Harry Kane.
Sessegnon has proven his ability, if he can take the Premier League by storm as predicted in 18/19, he could work his way into the team as soon as the Euro 2020 tournament.
