Dante Fowler Jr. was the obvious choice for Jacksonville in the first round, but he was the just the beginning of an impressive bit of draft weekend recruitment from the Jaguars who are desperate to scramble clear of the NFL doldrums yet again, though Fowler has since been dealt a cruel blow. In addition to the defensive end, running back T.J. Yeldon was a great second round pick to ease the pressure off Blake Bortles' arm, while A.J. Cann provides some extra solidity to the offensive line, again something that Bortles needs if he's to stand any chance of succeeding in the league. First Round Pick: Dante Fowler Jr, Florida Gators. Fowler will add strength to the edges and was seriously expected to make a huge impact on the team from Week 1. Those expectations were founded on immense talent, but devastatingly, the 20-year-old tore his ACL on the first day of the rookie minicamp. He will miss the entire 2015 season, but has shown great, unwavering desire to finally make his debut in 2016, with the Jags responding with great class, still giving Fowler the maximum contract he is eligible for.
