The Jets did a good job of re-armouring the roster during the off-season free agency, signing Darrelle Revis for a second time after spending a season at the Bucs and Patriots, but the top-brass also did a great job identifying top talent and adding some serious quality during the NFL Draft. They probably couldn't believe their luck when defensive lineman Leonard Williams fell out of the top five picks - where he was highly expected to land - and the Jets snapped him up with the sixth overall selection. He's the all-round best defensive talent in the league, and the Jets now look like they have a defence to be proud of. Devin Smith is an interesting prospect at wide receiver and will look to offer the Jets more options, while QB Bryce Petty could develop into a solid acquisition if he is nurtured well. First Round Pick: DL Leonard Williams, USC Trojans. He's a monster. He's an absolute monster. Williams is a fantastic pick up by the Jets and will provide some great steel at the back, hopefully for years to come. If he stands firm and adapts well during his rookie season, it relieves half of the pressure on their hierarchy to improve the team, with the offensive side then able to be fully-tooled up in the same way next time around.
