9 Heroes (And 1 Villain) From Man Utd 0-0 Newcastle
1. Wayne Rooney
The Red Devils' captain loves scoring against Newcastle. From his point of view, there are few other sides he would have rather been facing this weekend. Aside from Aston Villa (15 goals) and Arsenal (13 goals), Rooney has scored his greatest number of Premier League goals against the Magpies - 12 in all. He also netted a brace last year and looked nailed on to end his current drought on nine games without a goal. Instead - offside goal aside- Rooney was anonymous. And provided no real threat to the excellent Toon backline. He did nothing apart from getting in the way of the home side's real attacking threats in Memphis Depay and Juan Mata. Cheers, Wayne. Let's have more of the same before you retire.
