Arsenal Target Transfer Bid For Sunderland's Stephane Sessegnon?

Paper Talk: Wenger eyes £12 million plus Bendtner deal for Sunderland's impressive Benin international.

Sunday Express. Benin international Sessegnon played against The Gunners yesterday at the Stadium of Light as the Black Cats were on the losing end to a late Thierry Henry goal. With Henry leaving to travel back to the U.S. and his parent club New York Red Bulls, Wenger is on the lookout for a new strike partner for goal machine Robin Van Persie. Sessegnon, 27, was signed by former manager Steve Bruce in January 2010 for a considerable fee of £6 million from Paris St. Germain but his impressive performances this season could have increased his fee up to double figures. According to Sunday Express, Wenger is willing to offer £12 million plus Nicklas Bendtner, who is already on loan at Sunderland as part of the deal. Paper Talk: Please remember that newspaper transfer stories have a less than 1 out of 10 success rate.
