Arsenal Transfer News: Edinson Cavani Move Possible?

London Evening Standard. The Gunners are hoping to make two signings this month but the priority at the moment is tying down winger Theo Walcott to a new deal. Despite interest from the likes of Manchester United, Wenger commented that he is "99% sure" that the England wide man will sign a new deal within the next few days. He could then turn his attentions to Cavani, who has scored 25 goals in 23 appearances for Napoli this season, including 16 in Serie A. The Uruguayan has bagged 91 goals in 118 overall appearances for the Italian club after moving from Palermo in 2010. When asked about his interest in the 25-year old, Wenger replied:

€œCavani is a player that I like. Will he cost a lot of money? That€™s for sure. Nobody would deny that. Look, our banker lives just next to me and he is ready if we find the right player.€
The Frenchman is also believed to be interested in Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, who is also wanted by Manchester United. He added:
€œWe are looking at him, but we have not made any bid for him. I don€™t know if Manchester United are in for him. If you call any club for any player, they will tell you Man Utd, Milan, Real Madrid are in for him. It is always difficult to know if it is true or not.€
