Arsenal Transfer News: Stevan Jovetic Deal Close?
Football Italia are today reporting Arsenal could be set to secure their first signing of the summer, just days after the season finished. Wenger has been a long time admirer of Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic and now it looks like he could get his man. It is suggested that arsenal have bid somewhere in the region of £25 million for the Montenegrin attacker and that his agent is already in London to discuss personal terms for a move to The Emirates. Fiorentina have failed to qualify for next seasons Champions League so their star man was always likely to want to leave. Arsenal were expected to face competition from Juventus for the 23-year old but they seem to have turned their attention to Gonzalo Higuain and Carlos Tevez. This doesnt make this any less of a coup for Arsenal as many clubs have indicated an interest. Arsenal will now look to wrap the move up as quickly as possible so that they can move on to their next target in what looks to be a busy summer for The Gunners.
