Arsenal Transfer News: Victor Valdes Could Make £10 Million Move To Emirates?

The Sun. They claim Barca have agreed to allow the Spain international to leave the Nou Camp a year early from his contract expiring - providing a club will offer £10 million. Valdes, 31, who was born in Barcelona and has only ever played for the Catalan giants, has declared his intention to experience a "different culture" - and rumours are he is desperate to ply his trade in the English Premier League. The Gunners however might be resultant to match or better the goalkeeper's current £120,000-a-week wage. It is reported that Wenger is desperate to snatch a world-class keeper for his Emirates side as he's not fully confident on Wojciech Szczesny, Vito Mannone and Lukasz Fabianski being the long-term option and he tried in vain to sign Liverpool number one Pepe Reina last year. Valdes has played over 350 times in La Liga for Barcelona, dominating the gloves at one of the biggest clubs in the world for a decade now. He has won five league medals, two Copa Del Rey's and the Champions League three times during his time at Barcelona, though his international career has been restricted due to the longevity of Ilker Casillas at Real Madrid.
