4. Mauro Icardi (Inter)
Since joining Inter Milan in 2013, Mauro Icardi has scored 39 times in 74 games for the Italian giants. Previously,
Arsene Wenger reportedly failed to sign him after tabling a bid of £30 million. Naturally, signing a young striker would likely represent a risk, but it could be one that pays off for The Gunners. At 22, Icardi's best form is logically yet to come. If there's something Wenger has shown himself to be good at, it's finding young players and getting the best out of them, such as Aaron Ramsey. Admittedly, that doesn't always equate to title-winning form, but Arsenal are in a very good position in January, 2016. A lot of the hard work has already been done, but there are more big games to come. Icardi could be a shrewd investment. There are cheaper options, and there's also the opportunity to bring in players with more experience. That may potentially scupper any prospective deal for the Argentinian forward, but he shouldn't be ruled out. Inter may wish to cash in on their hot prospect, and he could be an excellent back up option for Wenger should Olivier Giroud get injured.
