Time is running out for Arsenal in the transfer window. If boss Arsene Wenger wants to add to his squad before January 31st then he must act quickly, with the deadline now a matter of days away. Reportedly high on Wenger's list of targets is a striker, with Julian Draxler of Schalke the man many believe the Frenchman is chasing. With an asking price in excess of £30 million, it is debatable whether Arsenal would part with such a large amount during the January transfer window. However, the North London club showed during the summer that they undoubtedly have the financial clout to make such a bid, spending a club record amount of £42.5milion to sign Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid. Given the fact that Arsenal are in with a realistic chance of winning their first Premier League title since 2004, it is understandable that Wenger is keen to strengthen his team €“ whatever the cost. Olivier Giroud has valiantly led the line for the Gunners this season, but there are question marks as to whether he could do this all the way through till May. For this reason, Draxler is seen as a solution. While not an out-and-out striker, the German is blessed with an abundance of creativity and guile. In Wenger's eyes, he could be moulded into a front-man, just as Robin Van Persie and Thierry Henry were.
