Arsenal Transfers: 5 Shock Moves Wenger Could Make Before Window Shuts

4. Mohamed Diame

Arsenal are still in the market for a new midfielder following the departure of Alex Song to Barcelona, and Wenger is weighing up the prospect of signing West Ham's Mohamed Diame, who has a much-publicised £3.5 million buy-out clause in his contract. Wenger is desperate to add some steel to his lightweight side and 6ft 1in powerhouse Diame certainly falls into that category. He is incredibly cheap, too, in contrast to other potential transfer targets on this list, and he is also thought to be keen on a move to the Emirates.
