AshleyOut.com Plan New Protest For Newcastle Vs West Ham
The Magpies could be relegated - and they also have the AshleyOut.com campaign to worry about now...
Newcastle United protest group AshleyOut.com look set to to initiate another protest during the Magpies' crucial Premier League home clash with West Ham United on the final day of the Premier League season. The group, who advocate the "removal of Mike Ashley as owner of Newcastle United Football Club", boycotted the Magpies' 3-1 home loss to Tottenham Hotspur last month. Having refused to turn up to the match, the group protested outside St James' Park and went to Leazes Park during the game - and they could repeat their actions on Sunday. https://twitter.com/AshleyOutdotcom/status/600596232634015744 In a tweet on Tuesday, the group said: "We will announce our plans for the game against West Ham last this evening. #AshleyOut #NUFC." Newcastle sit 17th in the Premier League, just one place and two points above Hull City, and one of the Magpies, the Tigers or Sunderland will be relegated on the final day of the season. Interim head coach John Carver said he "expected" the whole of St James' Park to be behind his side when they face West Ham, despite the club's ninth loss in 10 matches at Queens Park Rangers last weekend, although this statement from AshleyOut.com casts that into doubt. Sports Direct owner Ashley has maintained in recent months that he will not sell Newcastle United Football Club.
