Aston Villa have already had a bonkers transfer window that has seen the newly-promoted club bring in a whopping 12 players, but reports from Spain indicate that Villa aren’t done with their transfer business just yet.

If these latest rumblings are to be believed, Dean Smith’s Villa are looking to sign Sevilla’s Wissam Ben Yedder for a fee of €32 million.

A 28-year-old France international forward with pace to burn, Ben Yedder would represent a huge coup should the Villains indeed be able to entice him to Villa Park. Already this summer, the player has been linked with a move to Manchester United as he seeks a new challenge away from Sevilla.

According to L’Equipe, the forward is keen to leave La Liga and has already turned down a move to the Chinese Super League as he wants to play in a competitive European league that will see him continue to challenge for a place in Didier Deschamps’ France squad.

Ben Yedder has a release clause of €40 million and Monaco are also said to be keeping an eye on the diminutive forward, so Villa may be forced to increase their offer if they are serious about signing the player before the transfer window slams shut at 5pm today.
