Bayer Leverkusen vs Man Utd - How Red Devils Should Line Up

Manchester United travel to Germany on Wednesday knowing a win would assure them of qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League. The defending English champions currently sit atop of Group A with 8 points having taken two wins and the same number of draws away from their opening four fixtures. One of those wins was against Leverkusen, when United beat Wednesday night's opponents 4-2 in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford back in September. A repeat would help take some of the pressure off manager David Moyes, who is feeling the heat again following his side's disappointing draw against Cardiff in the Premier League last Sunday. A defeat to the Germans meanwhile would double that pressure with Leverkusen only one point behind the Red Devils in second, and well-placed to leapfrog their visitors should they slip up. With Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk also still in the picture on 5 points, it is vital that United put beyond all reasonable doubt their European future this season ahead of a hectic Christmas schedule that involves nine matches in four weeks against the likes of Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle. In order to achieve that, Moyes is going to have to get his team selection spot on against Leverkusen, and here's how we think the Red Devils Should Line Up, in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
