In every year since 2011, NFL Network has aired a show in the National Football League's off-season that looks at who the players believe is the best player in the game at that particular time. As with any list of the best players in any given sport or league it divides opinion among fans and pundits alike because everyone believes in something different that makes a player the best in their profession. It is no different in the NFL. A lot of people believe that the Quarterback position in American Football is where the best players play, and to an extent they are correct because the most important position on any given team is the Quarterback position as the person who plays that position is often the key to the success of a team. However, just because a player plays Quarterback for a team, it does not necessarily mean that they are the best player on their team or in the NFL. There are many players that are dominant in the league that play elsewhere on the field, except that they probably do not get the attention that a Quarterback would receive in the media. Thinking about the NFL Network list, the usually tend to go with the player that won the MVP award from the previous season, so expect their poll to have Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers at the number one spot.
