Although his success at Celtic came at a time when Rangers were on a downward spiral both on and off the pitch, Neil Lennon will always be remembered for re-establishing Celtic as the team to beat in Scottish football. He narrowly missed out on winning the league title in his first campaign, but from then onwards, the green-and-white strips dominated under Lennon's guidance. They would win the Scottish crown by 20 points the following year before Rangers were demoted to the fourth tier, but while Lennon won three league titles and two Scottish FA Cups, it is their Champions League performances in 2012 and 2013 that made the Northern Irishman such a hit at the club. Celtic were outsiders in a group which included Barcelona, Benfica and Spartak Moscow but they would find a way to progress into the last 16. After conceding a 94th-minute winning goal to Barca at Camp Nou, Celtic registered one of the most famous victories in the club's history when defeating the Catalan club 2-1 at Celtic Park. Those joyous scenes would be replicated a month later after a dramatic win over Spartak Moscow, and although they would be outclassed by Juventus in the knockout stages, each moment of the roller-coaster ride during the group fixtures will live long in the memory.
