ESPN and reports in Germany. Blues' youngster Kevin de Bruyne, 21, is expected to be used as part of the deal and sign for Leverkusen from Chelsea, according to the same report. Schurrle had been targeted by the reigning European Champions ahead of the current season but was told to stay at his club, but today, corresponding reports in German newspaper Bild as well as British tabloid the Express claimed a deal is set to be finally reached. According to reports, the Blues are ready to splash out ‚26 million on Schurrle, with de Bruyne being sent out on a season-long loan to Leverkusen, however, reports in German media suggest de Bruyne will be part of a ‚12 to ‚15 million deal and sign a permanent contract at Leverkusen. Whatever the case, Chelsea will have themselves a promising player in Schurrle, who is capable of playing both in midfield and up front. He has scored 11 goals in 36 appearances for Leverkusen this season.
