Chelsea Transfers: 5 LATE Deadline Day Signings Jose Mourinho Could Make
4. Marouane Fellaini
Could Chelsea hijack Manchester United's move for Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini? The Blues have been a thorn in the side of the Premier League champions all summer having at times very publicly flirted with Wayne Rooney and could be set to get under their skin again by wrecking their bid for the Belgian. That's according to Caught Offside, who claim Chelsea are set to compete with United for the services of the 25-year-old. Fellaini has handed in a transfer request and looks set to leave Goodison Park before the slamming shut of the transfer window in a few hours' time, but it remains to be seen where he ends up. He is a long-term target of Chelsea's, and has been linked with a move to the Londoners since February. And the Blues may have the upper hand in the race for Fellaini after Everton were left angered by United's attempts to sign the former Standard Liege man, blasting their offer as "derisory and insulting". With the Red Devils apparently infuriating the Toffees, could Fellaini be sold to Chelsea instead?
