3. Marko Marin
When it was announced that Chelsea had signed the German Marko Marin last summer, I do not think I will have been alone in thinking that they had pulled off a remarkable coup by bringing him in for the reported low fee from Werder Bremen. He seemed to boast pace, trickery and agility- the skills every top quality attacking midfielder or winger needs in the Premier League, but the simple fact is this: he hasn't caught the breaks this season. He joined the club injured and spent the first half of the season either on the sidelines or out of the reckoning and, since he has regained fitness, he has been waiting in the wings for one of Chelsea's more preferred attacking players to fall foul of injury or for a smaller team to crop up in the fixture list for him to make an appearance. However, when he had his chance- against QPR-, he did not cover himself in glory: a terrible tackle that should have warranted an immediate red card only four minutes into his full debut for the Blues. He was linked with a move to Bayer Leverkusen on loan back in January, and I believe that a permanent move our of London will be sanctioned if Mourinho comes into the Bridge.
