Chelsea Transfers: 5 Reasons Mourinho Would Be Crazy To Sell Ramires
4. Oscar
The Brazilian duo are the perfect match for one another: when they play in midfield together and more importantly when they play well together, there is no space available to the opposition as they cover every blade of grass on the pitch. Mourinho wants a team who are willing to bury themselves for the cause, and he has two of them. Their playing style is extremely draining and certainly can't be sustained for an entire campaign. You could even argue that Brazil's capitulation against Germany came at the point where the midfielders ran out of steam and couldn't carry their defence anymore. If Ramires leaves, Oscar will become far less effective as the season wears on and he wears out and Chelsea will suffer as a direct result.
I have been described as a sportsman with the brain of an athlete and the body of a scientist. Since it was established that playing wouldn't work out for me I have taken to writing.
