Chelsea Transfers: 5 Reasons Mourinho Would Be Crazy To Sell Ramires

5. He Will Run... And Run... And Run....

Offensively, Chelsea are a real force to be reckoned with next season: Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas, Andre Schurrle, Willian, Oscar, Fernando Torres, Mohamed Salah and Diego Costa will be tough to handle for even the fiercest of defenders, but none of those players are particular work horses - possibly with the exception of Torres and maybe Oscar. Ramires is Chelsea's runner: he can pop up and score you goals but, more importantly, he will hound the opposition and throw himself in front of any shot if necessary and he will do everything for the team cause. Every team needs a generalissimo in the midfield and Ramires is that man for Chelsea, especially with Lampard gone. Arsenal have Flamini, City have Toure - and a plethora of other grafters - Liverpool have Lucas and Manchester United have Carrick (for now). The truth is that if Chelsea want to connect their defence to their attack, Ramires is the catalyst.
