5. Stevan Jovetic
Along with Premier League rivals Arsenal, Chelsea have had a long-standing interest in Fiorentina's Stevan Jovetic, but for a long time it looked like neither side would land his signature, with Juventus thought to be his preferred destination. However, the two English teams were
given a boost in their efforts to sign the Montenegrin star this week when it was revealed Juve have dropped out of the race. The 'Old Lady' cited "difficulties in their relationship" with the Tuscan-based outfit as being the main reason for pulling out of the Jovetic deal, which is good news for both Arsenal and Chelsea. But with the Gunners
about to secure the £23 million capture of Gonzalo Higuain from Real Madrid, their interest in Jovetic may no longer stand, leaving a clear path for Chelsea to swoop in for the 23-year-old, who scored 13 Serie A goals last season.
