Chelsea's 10 Most Hated Players

5. Didier Drogba

Like Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba will always be remembered as a Chelsea legend. One penalty kick in Munich in 2012 instantly cemented his reputation as a Blues idol as he scored the decisive spot-kick to win his side the Champions League and he left later that year in a blaze of glory. But let's not forget he dives more than Tom Daley. Drogba was known for his dodgy reputation of hitting the floor as though he had just been shot by a sniper and was embroiled in a series of diving controversies throughout his Chelsea career, that included a rather embarrassing 'dive-off' with Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann in 2006 and his now-infamous "peek" against Napoli when the Ivorian feigned a head injury after Salvatore Aronica's elbow hit him in the arm, before peeking through his hands to see if the referee had given a free-kick. It is incidents such as these that tarnish Drogba's legacy as a Premier League player and if you're a rival fan the striker is an easy target for hatred. In the now-famous words of Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney: "Drogba. Your a good player but pls get up."
