Chelsea may have been rejected from bidding for the Battersea Power Station but that hasn€™t stopped the club fighting to call it their new home. The European Champions have released several detailed images of how the club intend to transform Battersea Power Station as their proposed new stadium after out growing their current home, Stamford Bridge. Even though Chelsea are not the preferred choice, they are hoping this move will put pressure on the favourite bidder causing them to either back out or improves the club's chances. Chelsea intends to develop the site in a 60,000 all seater stadium, which would incorporate the iconic four chimneys of the power station. The club released a statement on their website that said:
"It is important that our fans understand that Chelsea Football Club is not currently in discussions with the sellers of the site. The sellers have selected a Malaysian consortium as their preferred bidders, and we understand negotiations are continuing. We do not know if those negotiations will be successful or not."
They continued to say:
"In creating an iconic world-class stadium we would preserve the four chimneys and wash towers along with the historically significant west turbine hall and control room, all to be restored and retained in their original locations."

Preferred bidders SP Setia and Sime Darby are now under real pressure to come up with any plans as Chelsea look certain on fighting for the site. For more information on the transformation of the site click here.
