Another game, another identical line up. Despite Palace's recent awful run, Pardew has kept faith with his first choice eleven and that doesn't look like changing soon. The perplexing thing is that Palace's good run earlier in the season included the like of Jordan Mutch who came on or started the games against Norwich, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Everton, Southampton, Stoke, Swansea and Bournemouth, yet since Palace's streak of losses began against Chelsea, he has appeared for a total of ten minutes. Martin Kelly had a run of eight games in the side where Palace conceded more than one only once, yet hasn't been seen since Palace's win over Liverpool in November. The defence have conceded eleven goals in their last four games yet it's a near certainty he won't make an appearance in the club's next league game. Pardew's faith in his first team to get his side out of this pickle is admirable. However, he risks eroding the positive spirit in the side if he makes it completely obvious the players outside his first eleven aren't in his plans no matter what happens.
