Crystal Palace Transfer News: Puncheon Seals Permanent Deal To Palace

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of winger Jason Puncheon from Southampton. Puncheon has been at the Eagles since the summer on a loan and has impressed Tony Pulis enough to warrant the club moving for a permanent transfer. The five year deal will see the 27 year old remain at Palace until 2018. He€™s scored 3 goals this season, including vital winning goals against both Stoke and Hull. The player told the club€™s official website that:
"It's great to sign a permanent deal, it's something I dreamt about when I was a kid so I'm pleased to get it done. I was here when I was eight years old when the likes of Dean Gordon and Chris Armstrong were here so that makes its special.€
Puncheon started his professional career at Wimbledon in 2003 and has since played for a number of clubs including MK Dons, Barnet and Plymouth Argyle. He joined Southampton in 2010 and made 65 appearances for the club. However he found it difficult to break into the squad on a regular basis and has been known to be looking for a move away for some time. Later Puncheon tweeted about the signing saying:
€œOn another note buzzing to have signed at palace let's do this an make history premier league is the best league in the world let€™s stay here€
