England 1-0 Denmark: Three Lions Player Ratings

England ran out 1-0 winners against Denmark on Wednesday night in what was a rather lacklustre affair. The hosts were continually frustrated by the Danes stubborn defensive qualities and it was not until Daniel Sturridge's 82nd minute header that the deadlock was finally broken. With the fixture being the last before Roy Hodgson must name his 23-man squad for this summer's World Cup in Brazil, the 90 minutes was seen as an audition for many players fighting for a place on the plane. In particular, the battle for the second left back spot seems as though it will rumble on, with both debutant Southampton full-back Luke Shaw and veteran Chelsea defender Ashely Cole giving good accounts of themselves and with Everton's Leighton Baines also in contention. Raheem Sterling was undoubtedly the biggest beneficiary from the friendly match. The Liverpool winger has been a star performer in recent weeks and he demonstrated last night that he has the ability to perform on the international stage. While Adam Lallana is another player who will have been pleased with his Wembley contribution. The Southampton skipper may have come off the bench, but his classy performances and pin-point assist means he must be in with a strong shout of going to Brazil. Read on to see What Culture's ratings for the Three Lions' players over the 90 minutes at Wembley.
