3. Ryan Bertrand
He was pushed into the spotlight in the
2012 UEFA Champions League final against Bayern Munich. He played in an advanced position to add a solidarity to the left wing. Last season he pushed on and got 19 league appearances. Having turned 24 earlier this month, Bertrand cannot really be considered a youngster anymore and will surely be wanting this season to have some more regular first team football. However with Ashley Cole, arguably the best left back of his generation, still going strong it is unlikely that Bertrand will have to seek pastures new for first team football. The 24 year old has been capped twice for England, Bertrand is unluckily a left back in a time where England have to of the best in the game. Bertrand clearly has potential to develop into a good left back however he will need football week in week out to fulfil this.
