Martinez described the wide man as a shining light upon his comeback, but rumours that Pienaars second spell at Everton is drawing to a close continue to circulate. Former club Ajax have been touted as a potential destination at the end of the season, if a post on the South African Football Associations official Twitter feed is anything to go by. Everton will no doubt miss the days when Pienaars near-telepathic connection with Leighton Baines made the Blues lethal along the left flank, but the Merseysiders have a tailor-made replacement for the midfielder in Aaron Lennon.
