Every Premier League Club's Worst Ever Goalkeeper

6. Sheffield United - Steve Simonsen

Though all the players featured on this list will live on in infamy at their respective clubs for one reason or another, few will be able to encapsulate the failures of their respective stints in such a single moment as much as Steve Simonsen at Sheffield United.

In his first full season as Blades number one, the club suffered relegation to the third tier for the first time in over two decades but the worst was unfortunately yet to come for Simonsen.

The team narrowly missed out on automatic promotion but would get the chance to bounce straight back by reaching the League One Play-off Final. After keeping a clean sheet, the game went to penalties, with Simonsen sending his spot-kick over the bar to put an end to United's dreams of promotion.
