Every Premier League Club's Worst Ever Goalkeeper

5. Southampton - Tommy Forecast

Signed by the Saints in 2008, Tommy Forecast arrived from Tottenham in a deal that saw Southhampton waive the sell-on fee that they had for Gareth Bale.

With the deal presumably making sense to someone at the time, Forecast was expected to eventually contend for the number one shirt at St Mary's but he never even came close. A loan spell out at League Two Grimsby saw Forecast make a series of errors before embarrassingly being sent back prematurely to get him off the Mariner's wage bill.

Forecast would fail to leave an impression in Hampshire, being released without ever making a senior appearance in 2013. To make matters worse, the Gareth Bale sell on fee they waived as part of Forecast's deal would have eventually been worth in excess of £20million when the Welsh star moved to Real Madrid.
