Every Premier League Winning Team Ranked From Worst To Best
2. Manchester City 2017/18
Manager: Pep Guardiola
Points: 100
Other Honours: League Cup
The Centurions. Based on the stats, Guardiola's City are unrivaled. The most points. The biggest gap to second place (19 points better off than Mourinho's United). The most goals (106) and the largest goal difference (+79). Only one other side on this list can match their 32 wins and that was the City team that won the treble the following year.
But putting the stats to one side, this team played some of the best and most attractive football the Premier League has witnessed in its near 30 year history. They just couldn't stop passing, constantly attacked and made other teams quake in fear at the sight of them. Many doubted if Guardiola's 'tiki-taka' brand of football would work in this country. Those doubters were quickly silenced.
Kevin De Bruyne was key man through it all, the Belgian play-maker picking out passes with his eyes closed, the front line of Sterling, Aguero, Jesus and Sane were near-unstoppable and new signings Kyle Walker and Ederson made playing out from the back look like a doddle.
A truly mesmerising side, the longer Pep stays in England the better.
