Caterham (0 Points)
The 4th season that the team have existed and still no closer to catching the bigger teams ahead of them. As with Marussia, Caterham are stuck in the back of the grid fight for 10th place in the constructors championship. With 2 promising drivers on their roster, they will certainly be hoping for better fortunes over the 2nd half of the season. Charles Pic 7 (0 Points)
Its been a very solid year so far for Frenchman Charles Pic. After switching from rivals Marussia he has out performed rookie team mate Van De Garde in the majority of races, showing that Pic himself has developed greatly since last year. Qualifying pace has been good, with Pic outscoring team mate Van de Garde 7-3 and has occasionally hassled Williams for the 9th row. Race pace has also been very good, he has beaten his teammate at all but one grand prix and his best finish of 14th place at the Malaysian Grand Prix remains Caterhams best finish of the season. Pic is a good talent and hopefully in future seasons Caterham can deliver him a car capable of challenging teams further up the grid. As current circumstances lie however, Caterham will need to finish 10th place in the constructor championship. Giedo Van De Garde 6 (0 Points)
A solid rookie season for the Dutchman but silly mistakes have cost him dearly, with his main TV coverage coming at the Canadian grand prix where he notably turn in on Red Bulls Mark Webber as he was coming up to lap the Caterham driver. One poor weekend doesnt spell disaster and has been relatively close in both qualifying and race conditions to his team mate Charles Pic. One highlight for the Dutchman was his impressive qualifying performance in Monaco, which is known to be a track where a driver can exceed the limits of his car. Finishing a respectable 15th, he finished ahead of Paul di Resta, Pastor Maldonado and only finished 3 tenths behind Valtteri Bottas. He has shown glimpses of good form and will be hoping that the 2nd half of the season is good for him and for Caterham.
