7. Seamus Coleman
The Expectation Last season Coleman was a solid points scorer for Everton, but not the kind of player who you would naturally look at for your defence, with more obviously attacking full-backs available, such as team-mate Leighton Baines, and big scorers like Patrice Evra, Glen Johnson and goal-scorer Jan Vertonghen. In that company, Coleman's name barely registered, and with Fantasy Football players looking for goal-scoring defenders or those who chip in with assists, the start of this season will have seen relatively few players choosing the Everton man.
The Problem Coleman is currently winning - his points tally on Fantasy Premier League is bested only by penalty saving 'keeper Simon Mignolet, and he has so far scored more points than leading striker Oliver Giroud. The full-back, who can play on the wing, hasn't realised that it is Leighton Baines, not himself who should be scoring so highly in Everton colours, and his current form presents players with the dilemma of whether to swap him into the team, knowing that he is highly rated, and that he could well turn out to be this season's Leighton Baines (at least in open play - there's no chance Baines will be handing over set-piece duties.) At this early stage in the season, a big chance needs to have big results, and Coleman's form suggests he might be that change to make, though of course the issue for concern is the long-term impact of putting him into the team.
