Fantasy Premier League 2018-19 Tips: 10 Defenders You Must Sign

8. Harry Maguire (Leicester)

Leicester open their season with a tough trip away to Old Trafford and have to play Liverpool in their fourth game, but they've got clashes with Wolves and Southampton sandwiched between those matches, giving Harry Maguire a good chance to get some early season fantasy points on the board.

The big defender was phenomenal for England at the World Cup and that tournament will have given his confidence levels an enormous boost. He was great last season, chipping in with two goals and four assists, as well as some fantastic defensive performances to earn an impressive tally of 117 fantasy points, and he could do even better this year.

Exceptionally tall and strong, Maguire poses a major threat from set plays and will probably score another couple of goals this season, as well as being a mainstay in the Leicester line-up. Statistically speaking, he's one of the best defenders you can get for £5.5m and will be a popular pick with fantasy managers this season.
