Brighton broke the bank to sign Iranian winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh for a club-record £17m, and the 24-year-old should be on your mind when assembling your initial Fantasy Premier League squad. Brighton have a good eye for spotting talent, notably nabbing Pascal Gross last summer. The German went on to be one of the best Fantasy Premier League players of the season, and there's a chance that history could repeat itself with Jahanbakhsh.

The Iranian was the top scorer in the Dutch Eredivisie last season with 21 goals and 12 assists. He managed all of that in only 33 league appearances and has drawn comparisons with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah for his prolific goalscoring record from a winger position. Good with both feet, Jahanbakhsh has a lot of pace and some very fancy dribbling skills. He attempted 144 shots last season, with 62 of them being on target, and made 80 chances for teammates.

Priced at £7m, Jahanbakhsh can offer crazy value if he can bring his prior form into England. Brighton start the season with some tricky fixtures, so the Iranian will be thrown in at the deep end of the Premier League, but the Iranian could be one of this season's breakout stars.
