Aarons made just six appearances in all competitions for Newcastle last season - many as a substitute - but scored two goals in that time. The winger is a very attacking player, but is listed as a midfielder, and is an absolute steal at £5.5m. The only issue is whether Steve McLaren sees the youngster as a first team regular, and if he can avoid the injury issues that ruined much of his debut Premier League season. The 19 year old is an absolute spark plug, full of pace and attacking impetus. He starred in a 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace, scoring one goal and setting up another with a pinpoint cross for Mike Williamson. Comparisons with Raheem Sterling, another Jamaican-born English prospect, have flown around - although Aarons remains a high-risk, high-reward prospect.
