6. Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City) - 25.1% Of Teams Selected
On paper, a Manchester City defender is the one to have this season. Flying in their opener against Newcastle, but never tested defensively, a glut of movement towards the purchase of this man was evident. He's likely to play most of the time, having played 30 games last term, and he's cheaper than Kompany, who'll also be a regular this season. Truth is, you're probably going to need a City defender at some stage this season, and this man is probably the best option of the lot. Keep a sharp eye though; Manchester City under Mancini rotated their defenders much more than is normal in the Premier League, and only time will tell whether Pellegrini will do the same.
