Fantasy Premier League Tips: 15 Best Cheap Players For 2017-18

14. Dwight Gayle - £6.5m

Team: Newcastle

Anyone who watched Newcastle last year will already know that they relied significantly on Dwight Gayle and weren't the most expansive, attacking side to watch, despite winning the league. With no recruits up front (yet) and questions over Aleksandar Mitrovic's future (he's a tempting gamble at £5m himself if he stays), the lion's share of the attacking duties will fall to Gayle again.

If he can avoid some of the injuries that crept in last term, he will also guarantee goals, particularly as Newcastle will set up to absorb a lot of play and break with pace. On top of that, they'll presumably look to use Jonjo Shelvey's range of passes and their quick wingers (a position they've strengthened this summer) to pick out Gayle as a lone striker.

With that in mind, he should get a lot of the ball, and his striker's instinct should mean he finds the net a good few times for that price.
