When you're looking to buy full-backs in Fantasy Premier League, you need to consider those who offer both clean sheets and something going forward. Such is the state of the modern game, and with affordability in mind, there are few options better this season than Cedric Soares.

Southampton were impressively miserly last season, with 14 clean sheets, which caters to one half of the requirements (assuming Mauricio Pellegrino can somehow keep hold of Virgil Van Dyk of course), and Soares has lots to offer in attack.

He attempted 39 assists last season, which is the same number as Kyle Walker (who, remember, was just sold to Man City for an embarrassing figure), and makes him the most valuable full-back option, pound for pound.
