Swansea fans may have been happy to see the back of him when he joined Newcastle in their doom-laden relegation season, but Jonjo Shelvey has proved to be a key player for the Magpies over the past year, and a major reason for their resurgence under Rafa Benitez.

After overcoming the manager's seeming apathy when he was left out for much of the end of the 2015/16 season, Shelvey became the midfield lynchpin, offering both goals (from set-pieces and open play) and assists in the Championship. And he should prove to be similarly useful back in the Premier League.

There might be some questions about his usefulness with less time on the ball, but Shelvey should have more protection with Benitez seemingly intent on bolstering his central midfield options, and the conscious attempt to bring in pace suggests lots of long balls on the break. And you can probably guess who will be behind most of them...
